There are so many reasons to celebrate twenty years of service at Christian Women’s Job Corps. Just check out these numbers!
Impressive, right? But behind these numbers are real faces, real lives, and real families. One of the most beautiful elements of our anniversary celebration is the booklet we unveiled at our Circles luncheon: Stories of Change. Twenty students share their experiences with CWJC and the impact the program has had on their lives. Reading the words of these women is inspiring:
“The CWJC has been a priceless experience for me. I feel I have a new lease on life that will enable me to grow stronger and make better choices.”
“This program gave me courage, helped me grow, face some fears, speak effectively, regain my self-confidence, and help me to communicate my thoughts and ideas. It has taught me how to maximize my purpose and use my difference to benefit others. Being part of this program has been a rising spiritual moment that I will treasure forever.”
“Most of all I felt loved, encouraged, inspired, appreciated, and finally accepted. I began to feel self-worth again. I am grateful and honored to say how blessed I am that God connected me to this awesome program called the Christian Women’s Job Corps.”
What a privilege it is at CWJC to come alongside of these women to help them reach their full potential. This important ministry has been transforming lives for twenty years, and we hope to keep doing so far into the future. But we can’t do it alone! There’s another important “twenty” we’ve been talking about this year- our $20 for 20 campaign! We have a little more than a month left. Please consider contributing as we make a difference, $20 at a time.
There’s a fun social media challenge happening on our Facebook page right now! Have you taken the challenge? Post a picture of yourself with your donation in our $20 for 20 frame, and challenge your friends to do the same! Be sure to tag Christian Women’s Job Corps in your post, and then take a few minutes to scroll and see all of the other supporters who are making an impact just like you.
Thanks for helping women in our community write a better story for twenty years and counting!
