Liz has an incredible story of overcoming adversity to become a well-known litigator, speaker and author.
Born in Huntsville, Alabama, Liz was born to a pair of drug dealers. At the age of 5, her father was incarcerated and her mother split Liz and her 4 siblings into the homes of various family members. Her mother then did the unthinkable- she committed suicide. Unfortunately, the home Liz was placed in held a strict grandmother and a sexually abusive uncle.
Because of the kindness and maternal nurturing she received from her preschool teachers, later coupled with her pastor’s influence and the generosity of her community, Liz was able to rise above her circumstances and earn a spot at one of the most prestigious law firms in Alabama. She has also created a stable home with her husband and three children, drastically opposed to her own childhood.
We know her story and encouragement will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to become a Game Changer for our community! To read more about her story, check out her book “More Than a Bird”.
