Christian Women’s Job Corps will meet you right where you are, and we will walk with you to help you reach your potential and find a meaningful career. We offer both a spring and a fall semester.
To apply, either complete and submit an application online, or print and bring completed forms to our First Baptist Church Huntsville office at 600 Governors Drive.
When applying choose the site with the location and meeting times that are best for you.
Students who need to obtain a GED are able to benefit from one-on-one math and English tutoring by our group of trained volunteers. The GED tutoring program is only offered at our First Baptist Church campus.
Students will take courses in basic computer skills, job search skills, money management, communications, and most importantly, Bible study. These classes are designed to provide an array of experiences to allow our graduates to compete in the job market and create a better life for themselves and their families.
Students with a high school diploma or GED participate in volunteer internships at local companies or non-profit organizations for valuable “hands on” experience.
Due to the health restrictions surrounding the Coronavirus, the CWJC Clothes Closet will be closed until further notice. For emergency situations where clothes are needed for a new job, contact Amy Harbarger at 256-428-9404 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Current and past students, as well as any woman with a need for career clothing, are invited to “shop” for apparel and accessories as needed. The clothes are appropriate for job interviews and work in an office setting. Shopping is available any Tuesday from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, or by appointment. To schedule an appointment to shop, call Amy at 256-428-9404 or email email@example.com
Students that have graduated from our program are eligible for donated, used computers, to continue to practice what they have learned in class.
After graduation, a student has the opportunity to apply to receive a donated vehicle to help provide reliable transportation.
Graduates of our program who desire to continue their education may apply for small scholarships to help with costs not covered by Pell grants or other financial assistance.
Now accepting applications! Applications may be picked up and dropped off at the First Baptist Church location or can be filled out online.
