Services We Offer

GED Tutoring
Students who need to obtain a GED are able to benefit from one-on-one math and English tutoring by our group of trained volunteers. The GED tutoring program is offered at our First Baptist Church campus.

Job Readiness Classes
Students will take courses in basic computer skills, job search skills, money management, communications, and most importantly, Bible study. These classes are designed to provide an array of experiences to allow our graduates to compete in the job market and create a better life for themselves and their families.

Volunteer Internship Program
Students with a high school diploma or GED participate in volunteer internships at local companies or non-profit organizations for valuable hands-on experience.

Career Clothes Closet
Current and past students, as well as any woman with a need for career clothing, are invited to shop for complimentary apparel and accessories as needed. The clothes are appropriate for job interviews and work in an office setting. Shopping is available by appointment, Monday, Wednesday or Thursday. To schedule an appointment to shop, call (256) 428-9404 or email volunteer@cwjc.net.

Computer Donation Program
Students who have graduated from our program are eligible for donated, used computers to continue to practice what they have learned in class.

Auto Donation Program
After graduation, a student has the opportunity to apply to receive a donated vehicle to help provide reliable transportation.

Scholarship Program
Graduates of our program who desire to continue their education may apply for small scholarships to help with costs not covered by Pell grants or other financial assistance.
